Short but very important message for the Muslims who experience problems in conceiving a child. The head of the Ulema Council of Tajikistan Saidmukarram Abdulkodirzoda said that the issue of the use of assisted reproductive technologies was discussed at a meeting of the Ulema (recognized and respected experts in the theoretical and practical side of Islam) world in Kuwait in March this year. "There we have come to the conclusion that if a man and woman are married, they may get own children through artificial insemination, - he said. - This method is considered as treatment and it is given permission. " The only thing that, in the opinion of the Ulama, is unacceptable - is the use of IVF donor sperm.
So what do we have today? Muslims are going for IVF, Jews have clearly expressed the possibility of use of this method long time ago, and Buddhists, Confucians and Hindus also have nothing against it. Thus, there is only the Christian church that doesn’t permit this method of treatment. And this is despite the fact that the number of IVF supporters in the world, according to the statistics, has steadily declined due to the demographic boom in countries with a different religion.
There is a hope that in the end the "leaders" of this confession will show the wisdom, tolerance, humanity and ability not to reject the new development just because it is new.
